Another BOBI gig and another new venue to try out ... Boston United FC's Ellenders Bar saw a proper mix of styles, as is standard with the BOBI folks.

The BOBI Halloween Monster Mash got under way with "Cigar Box Blues" outfit VIRAL PEACH who were a pretty hard, rocking Blues. With cigar box guitars. Engaging and entertaining stuff that fans of early Rolling Stones and maybe even a bit of ZZ Top would very much be tapping their foot to.

JASPER CAIN - named after a yellow colour of paint apparently - delivered a spiked set of Indie tunes that brought to mind all manner of stuff like 60s Pop, The Kinks, Mod Revival bands and a bit of Punk swagger. Hard edged Indie that has a very unique character.

ONLY DESTINY, on third, are a three piece plus mannequin and drum machine who played a great set of Placebo-esque Electro Pop Punk type carry on

Top of the bill GRAIL GUARD from Coventry bludgeoned us about the head and shoulders with a rock solid, unsubtle, brutal Hardcore Punk attack. Top notch set to end the evening as the supporters coach returned home from a Boston Utd 3-1 away win. Get in there.
