Another one done! BOBI #4 has been and gone.

The dedicated followers of BOBI saw our latest and most eclectic line up at the Queen of Spades last night and it was another great night of original music from a wide range of genres.

The Hangland played a great set of Americana-esque rock but with a very atmospheric and dark moodiness pervading all. Great stuff.

2 Electric Blue took us back to the early days of synth pop with a really icy “dawn of the 80s” feel. Minimal music and maudlin vocals. Completely different to the first band but strangely, fine bedfellows.

Viral Peach up next with their Cigar Box Blues and more than a hint of Southern Rock, with the odd other influence thrown in here and there. Slick and powerful tunes, provided us with a most entertaining set. They were giving out free CDs too!

Bone Saw McGraw to finish the night then at the tippity top of the bill and one of Simon Tiny Forehead's favourites. One fellow, a bass guitar and backing tracks ... pretty much uncategorisable if you ask me. Desperate sounding vocals, off kilter, angular, awkward sounds. Very much an "original" act and well, that’s what BOBI is all about.

Next one on July 20th! See you at the bar?
